CUSTOMER REGISTRATION PROCESS AND GUIDELINES
The customer reaches the retail counter and expresses his desire towards its banking transaction.
The customer may get himself registered under two ways:
- a) Under routine manner where the amount transacted is below Rs. 25,000/- per month
- b) Under the KYC route where the customer intends to have the higher remittance amount towards its beneficiary account.
Under process (a), the customer is registered through its mobile number and the mobile number, and the name of the customer is the identity of the customer. The mobile number of the customer is verified through the OTP system and providing the address of the customer is optional.
To have the transactions, the customer is required to furnish the details of the beneficiary thereafter as under
- i. Beneficiary Name
- ii. Beneficiary mobile No.
- iii. Beneficiary Bank Name
- iv. Beneficiary Bank account no
- v. Beneficiary Bank IFSC code
The customer may register upto 20 number of the beneficiaries where he intends to remit money.
Under process (b), the customer is registered through his Aadhar Number and mobile number.
The customer provides the last 4 digits of the Aadhar number, and the last four digits are entered into the system where the OTP is sought from the customer on its registered mobile number which has been fed into the system simultaneously. The data is verified through the OTP system in two ways wherein the OTP is sent to the registered mobile number to the retail point also. On verification through the OTP of both OTPs, the customer stands registered on the system. Under this system, the customer is required to verify the details as above for each and every transaction. The transacted amount may be upto 2.00 lacs.
If the transaction is through the NEFT upto Rs. 49,999/-, the registration is through the OTP only interalia as mentioned above for the mobile verification.
Guidelines to the customer
The SMS for the transacted amount is received by the customer upon completion of the transaction.
The customer is guided not to share the OTP with anyone and should put it in the system himself/herself.
